Hazmat Training Course outline:


IATA Method hazmat air shipper training will build on your 49 CFR knowledge and guide you through the latest unique rules for shipping hazmat by air. At this one-day course, you will learn to navigate the IATA DGR and find the fast answers you need in real-world shipping situations. Gain a clear view of your responsibilities under the IATA DGR and how the IATA/ICAO air rules differ from 49 CFR
The course runs between 5-8 hours.
  • Classifying hazardous materials for air transport
  • Identification in the list of Dangerous Goods and selecting shipping names
  • General packaging requirements
  • IATA packing instructions
  • Rules for shipping limited quantities 
  • Marking and labeling
  • Preparing the Shipper's Declaration for Dangerous Goods

Only one person on your staff is required to be hazmat certified for the TAC 2000 certification. Once your certification is complete a copy would need to be emailed for verification.
